Questions
Who can use it?
Everyone in your organisation, with no charge per person. Invite your staff, trustees, volunteers, or a consultant helping you, from Your plan; each signs in with their own email.
Where do the grants come from?
We read every funder's own website, and the government's Find a grant service, every day, and check each programme is open. Who funded whom comes from 360Giving. Each grant says when we last checked it.
I'm a consultant or bid writer
Helping one charity? It can add you to its plan at no charge. Working for several? A Consultant plan covers up to 5, 20 or 50 client charities, from £600 a year, each with its own shortlist and records. See consultant plans
Which band are we in?
The one for your yearly income in your latest accounts. For a registered charity we take it from the Charity Commission register when you pick your charity; otherwise you tell us.
Do we need CiviCRM?
No. Trovu works in your browser on its own. If you use CiviCRM, the same subscription also works inside it, with your bids and contacts.
Are the CiviCRM extensions really free?
Yes. Case Kit, Funding for Case Kit and 360Giving for Case Kit are free and open source, and work without a subscription. The subscription adds the grants open now, matched to you, and alerts.
Does it work with Claude or ChatGPT?
Yes. Connect Trovu to Claude or ChatGPT with your Trovu login, then ask about grants in plain words, in the same chat as the rest of your work. It's part of your plan, at no extra cost, and answers from the grants we checked that day. How to connect
Can I cancel?
Yes, in Your plan, in two clicks. You keep everything until the end of the period you've paid for, and you can change your mind until then.
Is VAT added?
No. Trovu is run by Xpdient C.I.C., a community interest company, which isn't registered for VAT: the price is what you pay.
We're not in England or Wales
Trovu covers grants across the UK. Its details of charities come from the register for England and Wales, so charities in Scotland and Northern Ireland can find grants by describing their work.
